Privacy Policy

InsureAlgo by CloudAlgo  ·  Last updated: May 29, 2025  ·  Effective immediately

The short version
  • InsureAlgo stores all your data on your device only
  • We collect zero personal data — no account, no tracking, no servers
  • No ads, no analytics, no third-party SDKs of any kind
  • Optional iCloud backup goes directly to your personal Apple account

What data we collect

Nothing. InsureAlgo does not collect, transmit, or store any data on external servers.

All information you enter — policy details, vehicle information, documents, reminders, and settings — is stored exclusively in your device's local storage. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the iCloud backup feature.

iCloud Backup

If you use the optional Backup & Restore feature, your policy data is uploaded to your personal iCloud account under your own Apple ID.

  • The backup file is stored in your private iCloud Drive storage
  • CloudAlgo and InsureAlgo have no access to your iCloud data
  • You can delete backups at any time via the iOS Files app
  • Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud storage — see apple.com/legal/privacy

Permissions we request

InsureAlgo requests only the permissions listed below, each only when you use the relevant feature:

  • Notifications — to deliver the renewal reminders you configure in Settings
  • Face ID / Touch ID — to protect your data with biometric lock (optional)
  • Camera — to photograph insurance documents and attach them to policies
  • Photo Library — to select existing document images from your photo library

None of these permissions result in data being transmitted externally. All captured content stays on your device.

Third-party services

InsureAlgo contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics libraries, and no third-party tracking of any kind.

The app has no backend server, no user accounts, and makes no network requests — except for the optional iCloud backup described above.

Data security

Your data is stored using Hive, an encrypted on-device database. The optional biometric lock (Face ID / Touch ID) adds an additional layer of protection so only you can open the app.

Since no data is transmitted to any server, there is no risk of a server-side breach affecting your policy information.

Children's privacy

InsureAlgo is rated 4+ on the Apple App Store and is appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of InsureAlgo after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

Because we collect no personal data, updates will typically reflect only new app features or permissions — not new data-collection practices.

Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer

InsureAlgo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. CloudAlgo and the InsureAlgo developer expressly disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the application, including but not limited to: missed policy renewals, incorrect expiry data, data loss, notification failures, or reliance on any information stored in the app.

InsureAlgo is a personal organisational tool designed to help you track insurance policy dates. It is not an insurance broker, agent, or advisor. You remain solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of your policy information directly with your insurance provider, and for ensuring your policies are renewed on time.

CloudAlgo's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of InsureAlgo shall not exceed zero (£0 / $0 / ₹0), as the application is offered entirely free of charge.
